Description
The traditional cross is a fine balance between egg and meat production. Roosters resemble a Barred Rock in size by weighing in at 6.5 lbs, while the trim black hen with reddish chest weighs in at 5.5 lbs. Pullet chicks are solid black, while the rooster has a white spot on its head (same appearance as a Barred Rock).
